Honest comparison
How CrestViral compares.
We pulled primary-source pricing across larger agencies, SMB-focused platforms, vertical boutiques, and the DIY route — then answered the two objections every careful prospect raises. Last reviewed 2026-05-05; refreshed quarterly.
Year 1 cost
What you actually pay in the first 12 months.
Setup fee + 12 months of monthly fees, every cell linked to its primary source. WebFX is shown twice because they publish two scoped products at different price points; both are real. "Setup unverified" means the provider does not publish a setup fee on their public pricing page — we will not invent one.
| Provider | Year-1 total | Scope | Contract | Source |

What we bundle that most don't
Where the price difference goes.
Most agencies in the comparison sell local SEO. Our Growth System bundle is local SEO plus the automation layer that turns the visitors local SEO produces into booked customers. That layer typically runs $700–$2,000/mo standalone if you stitch it together yourself.
- Bundled AI voice receptionist that answers, qualifies, and books — typically $300–$1,500/mo standalone elsewhere
- Bundled missed-call text-back automation that replies in 30 seconds — typically $200–$500/mo standalone
- Bundled AI website chatbot with FAQ training and human handoff
- Premium website maintenance + monthly Lighthouse benchmark (Growth System)
- Email & SMS Marketing starter tier (Growth System)
- Monthly strategy call with the named lead on the engagement (Growth System)
- One vendor, one invoice, one Slack channel — no juggling between an SEO agency, a voice-AI vendor, a chatbot SaaS, and a missed-call tool
- 90-day initial commit, then month-to-month — versus the 12-month locks at PatientGain and the custom-contract terms at most large agencies
Two honest objections
The questions every careful prospect raises.
When we ran this analysis past four independent AI research tools, two objections came up in all four reports. We answer both head-on.
Objection 1
"You have no public case studies."
No public ones, yet. The honest answer is that the right way to evaluate us without case studies is to evaluate the deliverable directly:
- Run the free audit on your URL. The audit you get is the same audit a paying client gets — a branded HTML report covering 30+ technical checks with a revenue-impact rating per finding. If the audit is the kind of work you would pay for, that is a cleaner signal than any case-study deck.
- The 90-day initial commit, then month-to-month. If our work has not moved the needle in 90 days, cancel with 30 days' notice. Most competitors lock you in for 12 months. Our willingness to ship month-to-month after the initial period is the structural assurance most agencies refuse to make.
- Rate-lock guarantee. Whatever we publish on /pricing/ the day you sign is the rate for your full contract term — even if we raise published prices for new prospects later. No surprise rate hikes mid-engagement.
Objection 2
"What happens to my accounts and data if I leave?"
Fair question. The actual risk in a marketing engagement is not the monthly fee — it is the asset shape your business is in when the engagement ends. Some agencies wire your business through their own credentials and tools, then the work goes dark when you cancel. We do not.
What stays with you, in writing, before any contract is signed:
| Asset | Our commitment |
|---|---|
| Google Business Profile | You own. We request manager access only; ownership stays in your name. |
| Website codebase | You own. Source code delivered at handoff and yours forever — Astro static stack, Git-based, hosted wherever you want. |
| Published phone number + call-tracking numbers | You own. We do not swap your real number for an agency-controlled tracking number without your explicit consent and a documented migration plan. |
| CRM data and contact records | You own. CSV export available monthly on request and at offboarding, no questions asked. |
| Chatbot training data and conversation transcripts | You own. Knowledge base and full chat history exported on request. |
| Email and SMS subscriber lists | You own. Compliance opt-in records included in every export so the list is portable to your next provider. |
| Analytics properties (Google Analytics 4, Search Console) | You own. We work as a delegated user under your account — never the reverse. |
| Citation listings | You own. Every directory submission uses your real NAP and your real phone number, so the listings still point at your business after we part ways. |
If anything in the table needs to be tightened or scoped differently for your specific situation, we spell it out in the engagement contract before either side signs. No surprises at offboarding.
Recommendation
Who should hire us — and who shouldn't.
Both lists are derived from the consensus across the four independent AI reviews. We left them as the reviewers wrote them, even where we wish they had been kinder.
Pick CrestViral if
You match these conditions
- You want one accountable operator with founder-level attention — not an account-manager pod at a 500-person agency.
- You value flexibility — a 90-day commit then month-to-month — over the larger track record of a tier-1 agency on a 12-month lock.
- You want one vendor / one invoice / one Slack channel for SEO + reviews + voice AI + missed-call recovery + chatbot — not a stitched-together stack of four SaaS tools and an SEO agency.
- Your local market is low-to-medium competition (suburban contractor, second-tier-metro law firm, single-location practice). A competent generalist local-growth stack is enough to win.
Pick a competitor if
You match any of these conditions
- You require verifiable, vertical-specific case studies before signing — every other option in the comparison table has them and we do not, yet.
- You operate in a regulated or hyper-competitive vertical — HIPAA-bound dental or medical, AmLaw-track law firm, dense urban personal-injury market — where a vertical specialist (PatientGain, Brandloc, Juris Digital) has structural advantages we cannot match.
- You are cost-disciplined and willing to manage execution yourself — the DIY stack lands at ~53% of CrestViral Starter and you keep every account in your name.
- You have an existing in-house marketing team and just need software + occasional consulting — not a fully managed local-growth system.
If any of these match, we would rather you hire the right competitor than the wrong us. The free audit is still yours regardless.
Methodology
How this analysis was built.
On 2026-05-05 we ran the same impartial-comparison prompt across four independent AI research tools — Grok, Gemini, ChatGPT, and Claude. Each was asked to inventory CrestViral, pick comparable competitors in four scoped categories (large multi-service agency, SMB-focused platform, vertical boutique, DIY tools + freelancer), verify pricing from primary sources, raise the strongest objection a skeptical prospect would have, and recommend who should and should not hire us.
Where two or more reviews agreed on a number, that number ships above. Where they disagreed (e.g., WebFX has two real product lines at different price points), we show both with scope notes. Where any reviewer flagged an objection in all four runs, we addressed it in the "two honest objections" section above — without softening it.
We refresh this page quarterly. If you find a number on the page that no longer matches the source link beside it, email hello@crestviralmarketing.com and we will fix it.
